Little Bro comes to town
My brother Aakash came to town for the weekend. We spent Saturday and Sunday in New York. Saturday was spent participating in the protest marking the third anniversary of the US entering Iraq. Highlights of the protest included an individual dressed as Dick Cheney, posing as a puppeteer and literally pulling the strings attached to another individual dressed as George Bush. "Bush" had a ripped constitution which he would occasionally stand on, the world on a string, and a bottle of motor oil that he would occasionally drink from. Here is a shot of the duo - sorry it's a bit blurry.

Here's my brother at the protest.

And, finally, my favorite sign of the day; simplicity says it best.

Of course, I took my brother to Babycakes (see previous post!) before we headed home.
Sunday was spent in the city: shopping, pawing through CDs, chilling over coffee, and having dinner at Angelica's Kitchen before heading to Brooklyn to South Paw to catch Sam Prekop.
