Griffith Observatory Reopens!

A little out of order, but I'm finally posting about our visit to the Griffith Observatory over the holidays. If you are in the LA area, go check it out. It just reopened after 4 years of closure and construction. Pretty impressive place.

The observatory was a favorite destination for me during college. I'd go there to be alone, and enjoy the lights of LA from above. I also went many a time to watch the Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin laserium shows. And finally, I organized a fun party bus ride up there for Naceem & Homa's birthdays in 2001.

Here's a shot of the observatory.

The sky was amazing the evening we were there. I'm no photographer, so this shot doesn't capture quite how awesome the cityscape is from up there, nor does it convey how fiery the sky was. Consider this just a little peek.

Sailing into 2007

Sorry it has been a while since my last post. I actually took some photos at Griffith Observatory about a week ago, but haven't gotten them up here yet. Will do soon.
My cousins Aaron and Anita visited the weekend of New Year's, and Aaron captained a 27' boat with 6 passengers around San Diego Bay. What an amazingly beautiful day. Winds were a little light, but no matter. We had snacks, good company, and good tunes.
