Woodie Heaven!

Saturday was the Wavecrest Woodies event in Encinitas, the city we live in. We woke up early and took a jog down to the beach, and noticed all these amazing woodies and people getting set up for the day. We decided to come back mid-day to participate in the festivities, and I'm so glad that we did! There were over 200 woodies there, each really cool and unique. I took a few photos - see how shiny and fabulous they are?!

I loved the old school luggage on the top of this one. The inside also had antique lunch boxes and other memorabilia.

Really diggin the Bruin blue on this one, and the wood surfboard on the top!

This one was definitely one of my favorites. Love the two-tone wood, the shape and the shiny maroon paint job!

Here's Teej with his one of his favorite woodies from the event.

A closeup of the same car's engine. Teej saw this car being towed in to Encinitas a couple days before - guess they didn't want to drive it before display, so that everyone could admire the shiny engine!

And here's me after the festival, enjoying a yummy shave ice from the Hawaiian restaurant on D Street.
